Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited has opened 177th branch at Newmarket of Dhaka on 21 October, 2019. Director of the Bank Alhajj Md. Anowar Hossain inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest. Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury presided over the ceremony.

The occasion was addressed by Directors of the Bank Alhajj  Abdul Malek Mollah, Alhajj Engr. Kh. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Mohammad Yunus Chairman of Risk Management Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank, Deputy Manging Director Md. Fazlul Karim, Subrata Saha General Secretary of Multiplan Shopping Center, Md. Tofazzal Hossain General Secretary of Chishtia Supermarket, Md. Iqbal Hossain Former General Secretary of New Chishtia Supermarket. Deputy Manging Director Shabbir Ahmed was present in the occasion.

Executive Vice President and Head of AIBL Dhaka Central Zone Monir Ahmed delivered the welcome speech. The ceremony was conducted by Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah and Senior Vice President and Head of PR Jalal Ahmed. A large number of local people and well-wishers were present in the inauguration ceremony. Manager of the branch Md. Abu Zaffar thanked the audience.

AIBL Director Alhajj Md. Anowar Hossain said in his speech, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. was established not for making profit by doing business but for the welfare of society. He invited all to have the blessings of Islamic banking services in the new branch. He also said, Islamic banking system can boost-up the economy of the country.
