Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited has opened 175th branch at Laksam of Cumilla on 13 October, 2019. Director of the Bank Alhajj Badiur Rahman inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest. A. K. Azad Director of Central Hospital was present as special guest. Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury presided over the ceremony.

Senior Vice President and Head of AIBL Cumilla Zone A.K.M. Amzad Hossain delivered the welcome speech. The occasion was addressed by Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah, Advocate Rafiqul Islam Heera Organizing Secretary of Laksam Upazila Awami League, Dr. Belal Ahmed Director of Zenith Pharmaceuticals, Shariful Islam Chowdhury Director of A R Chowdhury Ltd, Humayun Kabir and Md. Abul Hasem Dilar Prominent Businessman, Abdul Aziz Proprietor of Nur Enterprise and Aziz Saw Mill and Abdullah Al Mahmood Khosru owner of Abdul Gafur Builders.

The ceremony was organized by Senior Vice President and Head of PR Jalal Ahmed. Maolana Muhammad Billal Hossain Maleki Katib of Golbazar Baitul Mamur Jame Mosque conducted dua mahfil after the ceremony. A large number of local people and well-wishers were present in the inauguration. Manager of the branch Md. Mohiuddin Khan thanked the audience.
