Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. has opened 173rd branch at Firingi Bazar of Chattogram on 1st  September 2019. Chairman of the Bank Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest. M Jahirul Alam Dovash, Chairman of Chittagong Development Authority was present as guest of honor. Vice-Chairman of the Bank Alhajj Abdus Salam, Directors Alhajj Liakot Ali Chowdhury, and Alhajj Ahamedul Hoque spoke as special guests. Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury presided over the ceremony.

The occasion was addressed by Vice Chairman of Midland Bank Ltd. Master Abul Kashem, Director of NRB Global Bank Mohammad Alamgir, 33 no Ward Councilor of Chattogram City Corporation Hasan Murad Biplob.

The ceremony was organized by Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah and Vice President Jalal Ahmed. Quari Maolana Md. Belal conducted dua mahfil after the ceremony. A large number of local people and well-wishers were present in the inauguration. Senior Vice President and Head of AIBL Chattogram Zone Mohammad Azam thanked the audience.
