Chairman of the Bank Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu said AIBL is carrying on a rebranding campaign on the occasion of Silver Jubilee in 2020 after successfully completing 25 years of Shariah based banking. Such rebranding of a Bank is not an easy task as the trust and reliance, on which AIBL has become the beloved bank of the people, must hold the same values as it held previously. That’s why we have planned the new campaign in light of a new era without hurting the values entrusted by the people. We must be modern in the context of the time when the Bank was established. The environment has changed over time. The nature of our workplace has changed. Even without going to a branch, one can do any kind of banking nowadays. Digital Bangladesh is no longer a dream, and AIBL is working hard along with this.
He also said, ‘Islam means modernism, Islam means universalism, this is the message that we want conveying to everyone through our branding. We are working to make Islamic banking more attractive for future generations. On this auspicious day of unveiling new Logo and Rebranding, we thank our millions of clients. With their confidence and dependence, AIBL has become one of the top modern banks in the country within 24 years of its inception.
Managing Director and CEO Farman R. Chowdhury said, ‘Shariah based always’ -with this slogan, today our new journey has been started by rebranding indoor and outdoor of 182 branches and 169 ATM booths at a time. This is one of the most remarkable rebranding activities in Bangladesh. It is my belief that this rebranding campaign will improve the scope of banking activities, corporate governance, and business ethics. The new logo along with the new tagline is the starting of a new era of Shariah based modern Islamic banking. He also mentioned that, during the rebranding campaign, all branches of AIBL will ensure the highest quality customer service in a sophisticated and tailored approach.
