Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. has opened 171th Branch at Pekua of Cox’s Bazar on 18 July 2019. Chairman of KDS Group and President of Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industries Alhajj Khalilur Rahman inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest. Member of Parliament from Cox’s Bazar-1 Alhajj Jafar Alam was present as guest of honor. Vice-Chairman of the Bank Alhajj Abdus Salam, Director, and Chairman of AIBL Capital Management Limited Alhajj Ahamedul Haque spoke as special guests. Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury presided over the ceremony.

Senior Vice President and Head of AIBL Chattogram Zone Mohammad Azam delivered the welcome speech. The occasion was addressed by Pekua Upazila Parishad Acting Chairman Umme Kulsum Minu, Officer-in-Charge of Pekua Police Station Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan, General Secretary of Pekua Thana Awami League Abul Kashem.

The ceremony was organized by Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah. Maolana Badiul Alam Jihadi, Principal of Barbakia Kamil Madrasa conducted dua mahfil after the ceremony.
