Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited has opened 178th branch at Kalaroa of Satkhira on 12 December 2019. Director of the Bank Alhajj Md. Anowar Hossain inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest. Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury presided over the ceremony.

The occasion was addressed by Former member of parliament and former chairman of Kalaroa Upazila B M Nazrul Islam, Prominent Freedom Fighter Md Mizanur Rahman, Founder and President of Bangabandhu Mahila College M A Faruque and Proprietor of Alaudin Traders Alhajj Muhammad Ekramul Kabir.

Executive Vice President and Head of AIBL Khulna Zone Md. Manjur Hasan delivered the welcome speech. The ceremony was conducted by Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah. Mufti Iqramul Hoque Muhtamim of Kalaroa Nurani Academy conducted dua mahfil after the ceremony. A large number of local people and well-wishers were present in the inauguration ceremony. Manager of the branch Md. Khaled Al Masud thanked the audience.

AIBL Director Alhajj Md. Anowar Hossain said in his speech, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. was established not for making profit by doing business but for the welfare of society. He invited all to have the blessings of Islamic banking services in the new branch. He also said, Islamic banking system can boost-up the economy of the country.
